| Thermark Laser Marking Process
Today ISO9000, together with other international manufacturing standards and leading industry groups, are beginning to mandate permanent part identification and Direct Part Marking (DPM) for traceability purposes. The product identification must be permanently marked directly on the part surface. There are numerous ways to mark an identification number onto a product. One of the cleanest and most effective methods is the Thermark process. Our thermal bonding process (Thermark) utilizes marking materials, or “inks,” available in various forms, which are applied to surfaces to be marked. The ink is then selectively fused – using patented laser marking technology - to the surface with a regular industrial marking laser. Finally, any excess ink is easily cleaned from the surface. The inks are scientifically formulated to make a permanent, chemical bond to surfaces, without compromising or damaging the material being marked. Regardless of the application, the end result is a durable, high-contrast, high-resolution mark.

Thermark Testing at 230 Miles Altitude
Below, you will find links relating to an article on the Thermark material test trials in space. "Orbiting the Earth at 17,000 miles per hour some 230 miles above the surface, the marks - using Ferro's CerMark LMM6000 Black marking material - survived approximately four years on the exterior of the International Space Station and received passing grades from NASA." So, it is safe to say the Delta C dynamics, LLC laser marking technology reaches boldly into the final frontier. Whether it is a single part, or production quantities, Delta C has the ability to fulfill your laser marking needs. http://thermark.com/storyline_two.html
